Applying for a medication savings program can sound complicated, but for many medication administered here at Manhattan Pay Medicine, we can handle much of the process for you. With the authorization, our team may be able to help determine whether a program is available, assist with enrollment, submit required documentation, management manufacturer portal, and follow up on claims. There's one thing we strongly encourage patient to tell us. Have you ever been enrolled in a savings program before? If the answer is yes, even if it was several years ago, please provide any previous savings card, member ID, or account information you still have.
Creating multiple accounts or receiving multiple member IDs can cause confusion and may delay enrollment or claim processing. So, if you can't find your old account information, don't automatically create a new account. Let us know first so we can help determine the correct next step. Whenever possible, it's also best to begin the enrollment process before treatment. Some programs have restrictions on retroactive enrollment or deadlines for submitting claims. If your medication is supplied through a specialty pharmacy, the process may be different.
In that situation, you'll generally enroll directly with a manufacturer and use the savings card from the specialty pharmacy. Our team can still help you identify the appropriate program and point you in the right direction. Finally, please tell us immediately if your insurance changes. A new insurance policy may require new benefit verification, a new priorization, or an update to a savings program enrollment.
